For example: On the White rim trail, in Utah, I was climbing a very steep grade which had lots of loose gravel and rocks. I was almost at the top of the hill and since ML was climbing along with trying to maintain traction and while doing that ESP kicked in. All of a sudden I was scared to death when I felt loss of power right after an uphill turn and all I had behind me was a deep canyon. I quickly turned ESP off and everything went fine after that. As you know turning ESP off only stops the torque reduction function, rest of its functionality still works.
