The Sportscoupe does well in the frontal 100% overlap crash. Note the cutout in the hood, to allow a direct view into the engine compartment during the crash, and confirm the anti-bunching design.
Good performance in the frontal offset crash test, with 40% overlap, where the damage is just slightly higher than in the new C-class.
The side-impact crash test...
...leaves its marks, but the structure survives intact, just as designed, and with the windowbag deployed.
